The PowerShare team attended the Canadian Renewable Energy Association’s inaugural Hub Summit conference from January 24-25.
Hub Summit is part of the Electricity Transition Hub (ETC). Launched by CanREA in late 2022, ETC is a knowledge transfer service aimed at increasing the capacity of Canadian utilities and system operators to integrate higher levels of wind, solar and energy storage.
At Hub Summit, team leader Steve Ray gave a presentation on PowerShare during the breakout session on Distribution System Networks & Standardization in Canada. Topics of note included PowerShare’s market design, potential DSO-IESO coordination schemes, and more.
PowerShare will provide important learnings about DER integration in Canada well into the future.
